The Breast Cancer Awareness Impact Behind Pink Ladies Games

Pink Ladies Games is built around a lifestyle event, but the health outcome is not a side note. Every edition partners with a local Health Partner to deliver free breast health screenings on site, turning a morning of team challenges into a direct point of early detection. At the most recent UAE edition, more than 300 women were screened, and several were referred for follow-up care.

Why Screening Is Built Into the Event Format

Awareness campaigns often stop at messaging: ribbons, hashtags, a donation link. Pink Ladies Games takes a different approach: the screening happens at the same moment as the community activity, so participation and prevention are the same action. A woman who signs up to compete with her team walks away having also had access to a health check she might not otherwise have prioritized.

This Edition's Health Partner: Allied Medical Center

This edition of Pink Ladies Games is delivered in partnership with Allied Medical Center, a clinical provider that specializes in breast cancer care. Rather than a general wellness booth, the on-site screening is run by a team with direct clinical focus on the disease the event exists to raise awareness for — meaning the referrals that come out of the day go to a provider already positioned to follow up appropriately.

A Rotating Network of Health Partners

Allied Medical Center is this edition's partner, but the Health Partner role has been filled by different clinical providers across past editions. Each edition works with a local health centre to deliver the screenings, which keeps the awareness message tied to the community it's reaching in that specific location rather than a single fixed provider. Over time, this has meant the event has introduced breast health screening access through a range of different clinics and centres, spreading both the clinical relationships and the awareness reach across the wider healthcare landscape, rather than concentrating it in one place.

Awareness That Runs Longer Than One Day

The health message isn't confined to event morning. It carries through the 6-week pre-event mission cycle, where teams engage with awareness content and community activation tasks before they ever arrive at The Sevens Stadium. By the time a team steps onto the field, they've already been part of a six-week awareness conversation — not just a single photo opportunity.

A Community Model for Prevention

Breast cancer awareness initiatives usually target individuals. Pink Ladies Games targets teams — meaning the message travels through friend groups, company departments, and community networks rather than reaching one person at a time. A single company team of 5 can mean 5 separate personal networks exposed to the same screening access and awareness content.

This is also the foundation of the partnership between Pink Ladies Games and Pink Ribbon International: combining a proven event format with a global charitable network focused on breast cancer prevention, education, early detection, and research.
